April 2022

2 stories · Crackdown, Platforms

April 2022 was a month of rules being redrawn. Honolulu's council passed, and its mayor signed, a 90-day minimum stay for rentals outside Oahu's resort zones. Airbnb said it would end its Covid-19 refund coverage for bookings made from 31 May and hand the decision back to each host's cancellation policy. Around them, the trade's companies kept buying and raising money.
