September 2021 put a Berlin-based vacation rental marketplace on the stock market and a Scottish city's rental rules out for comment. HomeToGo began trading in Frankfurt on 22 September after merging with a blank-check company. Edinburgh opened a consultation on making the whole city a short-term let control area. In New York, the City Council held its first hearing on a bill to register short-term rentals. Airbnb said it would test showing one upfront price, and Vrbo took its Fast Start program to Canada, France and the UK.
