November 2022
November 2022 was a month of prices and paperwork. Airbnb answered guest complaints about fees and checkout chores by promising a total price display and a search ranking built on it, while the European Commission proposed registration numbers and monthly data sharing for short-term rentals across the EU. Around those two announcements, AvantStay cut jobs, Greece's tourism minister signalled a clampdown, and Airbnb courted new hosts with more damage protection and with apartment buildings where tenants could host.
